Durante todo el año y a lo largo y ancho de la Comunitat Valenciana, se suceden, en pueblos y ciudades, infinidad de fiestas que destacan por su participación popular y su tradición cultural.
Estas celebraciones culturales son un importante atractivo turístico que atraen, tanto a turistas de la Comunidad o nacionales y extranjeros, por la gran diversidad de temáticas (religiosas, laicas o históricas). Unido a que entre las más del millar de fiestas que se celebran, destacan aquellas que han sido declaradas de Interés Turístico Internacional y Nacional y algunas han lograda ser reconocidas como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por su tradición histórica - cultural, la numerosa participación o la gran repercusión en los medios de comunicación.
